About Course
This course is designed for delegates who directly involved in the care and support of individuals who receive enteral feeding through one of the available enteral tubes. This course covers the core principles of enteral feeding and tube care, as well as the procedures to use when delivering either a bolus feed or a continuous tube feeding.
Upon completion of this module, the participants should be able to:
- Describe the daily care needed for a feeding tube.
- Name the basic equipment that is used for feeding tube care.
- Describe the daily care needed for a feeding tube.
- Name the basic equipment that is used for feeding tube care.
- Describe the steps for feeding tube care including: flushing, giving medications, giving a feeding, changing the tube, and the dressing.
