About Course
This Basic Airway Management CME Course is intended to provide participants with the skills needed to identify and assist patients at risk for developing airway emergencies. It will provide knowledge on the modern approaches and essential techniques in basic airway management in adults and children. The course will review airway management aims, upper and lower respiratory system anatomy, respiratory assessment, different respiratory conditions and their treatment, basic airway maneuvers, and advanced airway techniques.
Upon completion of this course, the participants should be able to:
- Develop a systematic approach of teamwork during clinical emergencies
- Identify basic airway compromise and implement appropriate treatment
- Demonstrate knowledge of indications for basic airway management
- Perform effective use of appropriate equipment needed to effectively manage a basic airway emergency
Course Content
